Internet down CAD still working We do take the internet for granted.
It’s delivered to the UK by undersea cables which, as
reported recently by the Times Newspaper, could be at risk from enemy sabotage.
Quoted from a Google search:
"Autocad software requires an internet connection every 30 days to confirm a licensed user"
Most business activity would stop if the UK lost access to
the internet whilst the cables were repaired.
However, time intensive CAD work could continue, if your
company has at least one installation of permanent license compatible CAD
software. Which would have no need of an internet connection.
Many of our CAD training customers already use this software, being
attracted by the lower cost of avoiding CAD software rentals.
* It has 1.4 million active licenses worldwide.
* It will read and write your drawing files
* Has a familiar user interface
* Current cost Is £699+vat per license. Which is a
one off payment with no rentals.
* Plus recommended £140+vat yearly maintenance for
free upgrades and advanced support.
With finished CAD drawings, your company could then be in a
position to bounce back as soon as cables are repaired.
It could even be treated by company directors as an
insurance policy.
