1) A unit can be anything. ie. mm's, metres, inches etc. However if a unit is defined in mm's, so 7 metre line would be drawn as 7000 units, then there is no need to adjust the scale of plots because Windows measures paper in mm's. If units are in metres, so a 7 mtr line would be drawn as 7 units, then to produce a scaled plot of 1:50, first covert scale to a fraction so 1/50 = 0.02 then multiply by 1000. So scale in CAD must be set to 20:1 to ptoduce a scaled drawing at 1:50
2) F3 keyboard function key.
3) F8 Keyboard function key.
4) The Offset command.
5) The Fillet command (With radius option set to Zero).
6) The Trim command.
7) DY - the capitalised letters of the option. Or you can push right mouse to see all of the command line options.
8) You can set an Offset distance by 2 points on screen, instead of entering a value
